The Keep Fit Association (KFA) is a National Governing Body supported by Sport England and Skills active. There is a thriving Yorkshire region of the National organisation. Visit our website www.keepfit.org.uk
The aim of the organisation is to provide holistic fitness sessions through movement, exercise and dance that support the development of health and well being for all.
Community classes
KFA Yorkshire region run movement, exercise and dance sessions in:-
Bradford
Harrogate
Halifax
Huddersfield
Leeds
Scarborough
Sheffield
Wakefield
and surrounding areas
Sessions are open to all and you can find a class local to you by clicking “Find a class near you” on the top line of our website.

Teacher Training courses
As well as running community classes the Keep Fit Association offers teacher training courses in the following disciplines:-
Level 2 teaching chair based older adults – for students with no previous teaching experience.
Level 2 OCR teaching exercise to music – for students with no previous teaching experience.
Level 3 teaching movement exercise and dance to adults – for students with no previous teaching experience. Applications now being taken for courses starting in September in Leeds and Scarborough. See the website for details.
Level 3 teaching older adults and falls prevention – for students with a level 2 teaching qualification.
Level 3 teaching children and young people – for students with a level 2 teaching qualification.
EMDP
KFA is a founder member of the Exercise Movement and Dance partnership (EMDP).
It is a not for profit organisation dedicated to the development of exercise, movement and dance provision throughout England and the UK. EMDP’s vision is to have ‘More people enjoying good health and well-being through exercise movement and dance – for life’.
